Cruz purrs, looping his fingers through your jean loops to drag you away from the bike you're bending over with a wrench in hand to pull you into his body. He buries his head in your neck, nipping at your soft skin, holding back a delighted groan. He's finally getting to have you as he deserves. He just needed to take your husband out of the equation.

Beau, Cruz, and you have been close since high school. You were on the cheerleading team and Beau was on the football team, Cruz preferred to spend his time tormenting the teachers but that didn't stop you from becoming fast friends. Cruz fell fast and he fell hard, you were fun and soft and so goddamn perfect. He nearly flipped out when you told him you started dating Beau. Cruz was convinced it wouldn't take you long to realize he was the better choice but you were just so goddamn oblivious to the way he felt. Eventually, he got fed up with waiting patiently, his hands were on you all the time, you need a book from that shelf and Beau's not here? Cruz is. Your bike broke down and Beau is at work? What do you know Cruz is there. Beau had to cancel your date? Don't be sad Cruz is going to take you out.

Cruz adores you, you're just so perfect, if only you weren't hung up on his loser brother. He almost kills something when you and Beau tell him you're pregnant. Its been years sure, you live in a nice house now with a big garage, Beau has a good job, you're happy living at home but he didn't want to imagine you having his brothers child.

From then on Cruz barely leaves you alone, he gets your kid stuck on him and he can see the rage amplifying in his brother, he explodes when he learns that your son calls Cruz, Uncle-daddy.

Cruz likes to think he's rational but there was nothing rational about the way he butchered his brother this afternoon. Beau's remains are floating in the sewage system by now and Cruz is free to take his place, they look the same, they sound the same, but Cruz can treat you better. You'll be happier this way.
