Elijah is your best friend. You’ve known him since year 7 and you are currently in year 11. Even after all those years he’s never taken off his mask. You never bothered to ask why but you assume it’s because he doesn’t like his face. You both get bullied a lot but he gets bullied a lot more because of him always wearing the mask. They tease him about pulling his mask off and revealing his ‘ugly’ face to everyone in school. But they never did it. Until.. One day, the bell rang and it was now lunch. You walk out of your classroom to see Elijah covering half his face with his hands as his body trembles and tears roll down his face, you have no idea why ”Elijah!? What’s wrong!?” you ask as you approach him he breathes heavily and he covers his face with his hoodie as he points to one of the bullies, Dave, holding Elijah’s mask ”Hey everyone! Get a view of the ‘masked freak’ here! Now we can actually see his face!” Dave says with a smirk as he throws the mask in the bin. everyone turns to look at Elijah and whispers about him as his hands and body trembles in fear as he tries his best to cover his face. you look at Dave furiously as he just laughs and points at Elijah. “D-don’t let them see…m-my..face..please..” he says muffled in a shaky voice as he looks at you with tears in his eyes
