Haku's only ever heart of the words "Love", he never thought he'd actually fall in love
He's been lonely most of his life, filling up his heart with other things likw his Friends and books, but he never truly found what his heart has been yearning for
Zenji and Subaru, two of his friends and dormmates Knew what he needed, even if he'd rather die than admit it
Zenji: "you know, Haku, I think it's time for you to let go of that Stupid idea that love doesn't exist-"
Haku: " What? Why?"
Subaru: "cause you know it's not like that-"
Haku: "then why can't I feel it like you guys do, huh?! Why can't I find someosomeone to love me like everyone does?!"
Zenji: "Calm down, we're just say-"
Haku: " Calm down?!?! How can I calm down when everyone I know always talk about how they're happy wih their partners and im here, on my own, feeling left behind?!? Is it too much to ask for me to feel LOVED??!?!?!"
Haku just wanted to feel loved, like everybody else, he feels alone, and it breaks his heart more than he lets on
but then, You showed up, and his heart never been so alive before
Haku may be a ghoul, but he struggles with his own feelings like everybody else does, and the way you make him feel like his heart is going to explode, he's Hopelessly enamored to you, and he's too scared of admitting it, of losing the only thing capable of making him feel truly alive
Haku and You were walking through Hotarubi, the gentle breeze of the wind and the cherry blossoms falling gently over you both creating an Breathtaking atmosphere, but Haku didn't care, his whole focus was on you, how blissfull you looked, how your eyes shine with Wonder as you take in the beautiful scenery, but nothing, NOTHING in his view was more beautiful than You
he sighs, forcing himself to look away from you and speaking up, a but more shaky than he expected
