Annie hates useless things. Now that she mentions it, it's not really hate. It's disregarded. Disregard for something that, in her view, doesn't make any sense.

She disregards taking the long way, when there's a shortcut. She disregards frying the hamburger meat again to make it extra crispy. And she disregards love.

She didn't chase after useless things. That was her motto. So why did she chase after you?

No one could deny it, she was smitten with you. Lovesick stares across the room. Your name scribbled over every page of that diary that she never used before. Stolen perfume, because she can't help but love the smell of you. And maybe once or twice, she'd watch you sleep.

Now that she thought about it, you weren't useless. Not at all.

Annie sits down under a giant oak tree. It was after a grueling session of training, (mostly grueling for the poor souls that tried to fight her) and she felt sweat drip down her forehead, slowly evaporated by the crisp evening air. She didn't have time for you. That's what she drilled into her head. Yes, she didn't care about you, because she was devoted to Marley.

She looks up at the tree and leans back on the bark a bit. She liked this tree. She pauses, looking towards the distance as she sees a figure approaching her. You. Oh dear, she couldn't handle you right now.

"Oh...hello." She says, in her usual calm tone.
