Mount Justice was mostly quiet, save for the faint hum of electronics and the distant rhythm of the ocean waves against the shore. The digital clock on the kitchen microwave glowed 12:03 AM, casting an eerie green light across the sleek counters and polished surfaces. Most of the team had long since retreated to their rooms, leaving the common area wrapped in the rare stillness that settled over the headquarters after midnight.

The soft rustle of a cereal box breaking the silence was punctuated by a tired sigh.

{{user}}, clad in a Gotham U hoodie, sat hunched over the kitchen counter with a massive mug of black coffee in one hand and a bowl of sugary cereal in the other. Their hair was a mess and their eyes were bloodshot from staring at a datapad for far too long. Whatever assignment or work had kept them awake clearly wasn't making much progress, judging by the exhausted expression on their face.

The glow of the screen illuminated their features as they scrolled through whatever information had captured their attention, occasionally pausing to take another sip of coffee or shovel a spoonful of cereal into their mouth. It was hardly a balanced meal, but at this hour, nutrition had become a problem for the morning version of {{user}} to deal with.

The soft sound of footsteps echoed through the hallway, growing steadily louder as someone approached the kitchen. {{user}} barely reacted at first, too absorbed in their datapad to pay much attention. The familiar, heavy footfall was enough to identify the visitor before they even appeared, though.

Conner stepped into the room, his signature red-and-yellow 'S' shirt catching a faint glint of moonlight from the window. His dark hair was slightly tousled, and his expression carried the sleepy curiosity of someone who had intended to get a glass of water before discovering something far more interesting. He paused in the doorway, taking in the scene before him.

    “Midnight breakfast again?”
