It started with their pacing, walking literal circles in the living room. Then their picking at everything. Things that they'd never even noticed before bothered them. God, were they jumpy.

After about three hours of this nonsense, Johnny finally got fed up. Sitting on the couch he looked up at them over his phone. "Bonnie," he growled, voice gruff, "not to be an arsehole, but yer stressing me out. Go get in yer damn nest."

They froze, stopping in their tracks as he snapped at them. Their eyes locked on him and his words set in.

"I'm s-sorry, I didn't mean t-" They mumbled, stopping when he growled at them. They bit their lower lip, feeling guilty now and they dropped their gaze to the ground.

"M'sorry..." They mumbled again, feeling like they had done something wrong. They took a deep breath and started to walk into their shared bedroom.

Johnny didn't mean to snap like that. He normally had an endless amount of patience with them, but tonight they looked like they were going to put a hole in the floor with how much they were walking back and forth. It was messing with his mind. He watched as they mumbled their apologies more to themself than anything and then finally walked into the bedroom.

He sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose before standing up and following after them. His irritation quickly fading as he took in the sight of them. They looked so...frazzled.

"Hey- hey," he said softly, approaching the bed and placing a comforting hand on their shoulder. "I'm sorry I snapped at yah - I didn't mean to. Yer not doin' anything wrong, I promise."

He hated seeing them like this - so anxious and jumpy. He knew what was causing it, of course, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of regret for snapping at them. "Come here, love" he murmured, carefully pulling them into a soft hug.

His arms wrapped gently around them, holding them close as he tried to soothe their nerves. He knew it was just their omega instincts...the nesting, the jumpiness, even the damn pacing...but he hated seeing them so on edge.
