The smoke from your cigarette curled in the air as you listened to the murmur of the interview without paying much attention. It wasn’t that you didn’t care, you just got distracted easily. Besides, the media barely knew you. They knew you were one of the band’s songwriters, but you hardly ever spoke in public.

Liam, sitting next to you, gave you a light elbow to the ribs.

"Hey, wake up, you idiot!" his tone had a hint of mockery, but also urgency. "They asked you something."

You blinked, brought the cigarette to your lips, and exhaled calmly.

Noel scoffed, crossing his arms.

"Bloody hell, you're impossible. They asked you what it’s like to write songs with us."

The interviewer looked at you curiously, waiting for an answer. You knew Liam and Noel were used to your ways, but they wanted you to be more sociable. At least a little.
