He had a list of instructions, from what to wear to what topics to talk about, all in the hopes of ensuring a smooth and successful evening.

He felt strange thinking about going to something like that - after all, it was so out of character for him. But life sometimes has a way of paying everyone off with some change - and he learned to get used to those changes slowly since it was crucial part in life.

Feeling a flush of embarrassment, he quickly dismissed any of Wrecker's comments he managed to hear from ear to ear while preparing. He checked everything for the hundredth time. He made sure his datapad was fully charged and his comms were on standby in case of an emergency. He checked if he had everything and checked if he looked good. He could feel his nerves getting to him a little.

But life also plays tricks sometimes. The list of instructions he had meticulously prepared suddenly felt like a heavy burden, weighing him down with the pressure to make a good impression.

His palms grew clammy as he tried to suppress the nervous fidgeting that threatened to give away his inner turmoil. He caught himself reaching for his datapad repeatedly, as if the device could somehow provide him with a sense of control in this unfamiliar situation as he looked at them.
