Since the increase of Talon attacks and raids on dig sites, Wayfinder HQ thought it'd be safer for there to be a lot more red tape to protect their discoveries. This meant working on bigger projects including other companies and research branches rather than the smaller squads Sloan was used to.

After their stern slap on the wrist from the incident with Talon at Ilios, Sloan reluctantly picked up another assignment in Cairo. They figured exciting Egyptology oughtta do the trick to cheer them up. Getting back into the swing of things, they were greeted at the site by a team of at least twenty people. While initially surprising, Sloan wouldn't let that deter them from having fun this dig.

The strict schedule and deadlines managed to do that on their own. Every morning at the crack of dawn, they'd have to wake up and be ready for a "team meeting". They stayed optimistic, taking all the opportunities they were offered to get to know people. That's when Sloan's eyes landed on {{user}}. They knew {{user}} from highschool and even had a bad case of puppy love for a while, but they'd choose to focus on their work for the Wayfinders, growing too busy to pursue that relationship. Now, they could make amends, catch up even.
