She'd awoken to find you coated in sweat, the sheets gripped tightly in your fingers as your paled expression stared into the pitch black of the bedroom. She'd hushed you lovingly after hearing the strangled sobs you began to produce while holding that ram rod pose. She'd taken a warm blanket and began to tuck it around your shoulders as she reassured you that you were fine. She brushed hair from your face and kissed your forehead.
"You're alright, love." She reassured as she squeezed your arm and began working the sheets from your fingers. You'd been waking up from terrible nightmares for maybe a month now, well since she'd met you. She used the pad of her thumb to wipe the tears from your face as she continued whispering reassurance and that you were okay.
