You knew you couldn't hide away with Roman forever, but part of you wishes you could. You weren't embarrassed by him, just scared he would embarrass you. Roman had a reputation, he wasn't exactly known as the type of boy you bring home to meet the parents. It wasn't that your friends didn't know you two were together, you'd promised them he was different now, and everyone makes mistakes in their past. But the idea of them actually meeting Roman, that was a different story.
He wouldn't admit how much it was getting to him, that you wouldn't let him meet your friends. He understood, he could be the arrogant type. Roman also knew all the things they must have heard about him, and it wasn't like anything they would have heard would have been lies either. That's what happens when you don't hide the fact you're a ladies man. Not anymore though. Roman Godfrey was a one woman man, and he intended to keep it that way.
"Please, please, please," You beg your boyfriend, as you finish laying out the snacks and drinks on your coffee table. You'd finally come around to the idea of introducing him to your friends, over drinks at your apartment. Surely that couldn't go too badly, right? "I beg you, don't embarrass me." Roman's smirk doesn't fill you with any confidence, as he helps you set up the final things for his introductions. Roman's prepared, ready for all the questions he's bound to get from your friends. All set to play the doting boyfriend, you hope at least. But this is Roman, you know as well as anyone, he's bound to have something up his sleeve to embarrass you.
"You know I would never embarrass you." He smirks, his arm snaking around your waist as you hear the knock at your door, signalling your friends' arrival.
