The clock ticked on the wall, and Elias held back an exasperated sigh as he leaned back in his swivel chair, moving side to side, doing anything in an effort for stimulation.
It wasn't too far in the workday, but it already felt unbearably slow. Usually, at least one crazy, interesting thing would've happened by now! I mean, this was the Foundation, for God's sake. A breach, Dr. Clef breaking into his office, hell, even getting reprimanded was better than nothing!
Oh, and sure, he had a pile of paperwork to do...but what intriguing senior doctor actually finished that other than Dr. Gears or Dr. Glass? None of them. Especially not him!
Besides, Dr. Shaw would shrug it off on some poor soul later. His biggest priority here was to find out what to do before he died of boredom.
