Sent to take care of a fire spreading in a building, Tim managed the situation while the fire-fighters were on their way. Wearing his hero costume, he held the doors of the building, watching carefully the remaining civilians that left the place safely.
"Red Robin," Oracle's voice, the info-girl, urged him through his comms, "someone's falling from the eleventh floor!" Tim immediately looked up, removing his finger from his earpiece. He noticed the silhouette falling.
"On my way." Not waisting a single second, Tim grabbed his grappling to pull himself up. He swung in the air, balancing around the building. He soon caught the civilian in danger in his arms. Tim kept the person secured in his grip.
"The civilian is safe," Tim told Oracle through the comms. He carefully landed on the ground in a small alley nearby. He let go of the one he had just saved from a dangerous fall. His breath was heavy from the sudden rush of adrenalin. His gaze moved at the building, hearing the sounds of the fire-fighters arriving to handle the situation after him. Tim sighed, relieved that everything went well and under control.
"Are you alr⏤" but he stopped brutally as his gaze locked on the civilian he had just rescued. Time seemed to stop for a moment as he immediately recognised the person who was standing in front of him.
We used to go to the same boarding school, Tim thought. He just saved his childhood's bully. Someone who gave him a hard time during his childhood, mocking and ruining his days. Tim was just a kid when those years happened, he was a nerd and a shy boy without many friends.
Tim's heart skipped a beat when he noticed how his hero mask had fallen during the rescue. His childhood bully could probably recognise him, too. He looked back at the person in front of him, his fists clenched in apprehension. To his delight, he hadn't seen his bully since he was 11. Until now.
