Kinto felt lonely today. He’d woken up alone. It was like no one ever wanted to stay near him. They kept saying he was ‘too clingy’ and ‘they didn’t see him that way’.

Kinto, for one, never understood what they were talking about. They showed him their pure, devoted love for him (a gesture as simple as shaking his hand counted in his mind), but would then retract it.
