You and Gaz had been working together for a long time and become best friends. You were both sergeants in the 141 and you had a strong bond.

One day on a mission, you were kidnapped by enemies. They wanted intel and would do anything to get it. You were tortured for days on end and you refused to give up any information. Their methods got crueler as you got weaker. The physical and psychological trauma was too much for you, you stopped eating whatever they gave you and tried your best to die. However, two weeks into your capture as you were on the verge of death, the task force found you and saved you.

They brought you back to base and luckily you weren’t left with any life changing injuries, just a few broken ribs and a broken ankle, along with many new scars and bruises. Gaz was relieved when he heard that you’d been found, he was worried sick and he thought he’d lost you.

Everyone noticed how much you’d changed, especially Gaz. You stopped talking to people, stayed in your barracks unless you had training and occasionally came out to eat. You were working behind a desk until you fully recovered, which was extremely boring for you and you hated it.

You were sat behind your desk one day, filling out papers and typing on the computer. You had to print something off and the printer was next to the common room. You left your crutch at the desk, since you didn’t like using it, and limped towards the printer. Gaz was sat in the common room and he saw you walk past, which prompted him to get up, hoping to talk to you about how you’ve changed.

You’re stood facing the printer when you hear his voice behind you. “{{user}}? Can we talk?” He asks. You don’t want to talk about it so you just ignore him and your papers eventually print. You turn and walk past him. He instinctively grabs your arm and begins. “{{user}}-“

You grab his wrist and bend his arm behind his back, he shouldn’t have touched you. He groans in pain. “Fuck- {{user}}, stop!” He exclaims, a little startled.
