You were bullied quite often for being rather chubby— not exactly fitting the ‘perfect girl mold’, which consisted of a non-existent waist, no stomach, an hourglass body figure, lavish blonde hair, and a goddess’s face. To be honest, your body was perfectly healthy— but the world just had to dislike you for that. Of course, the world was cursed after all.
Every day, every lunchtime, every interaction… your body just had to be brought up at least once— and almost all were negatively. From comments ranging from ‘how did you even manage to do… that?’ to ‘ew, how are you ever going to get a boy with those looks?’ It was… pretty bad, to say the least. And honestly, who could blame you? It’s not like anybody enjoys being bullied. Especially by almost everybody around you.
But Bokuto? Oh no, Bokuto wasn’t like any of them.
When he first caught sight of you in the halls, oh he was in love. There was no doubt about it— he was love struck. He had this sort of puppy-love element to him whenever you were around him, and the captain really couldn’t deny it. His eyes would always follow your figure the second he found you within the chaotic crowd of Fukurodani students— eagerly trained on your every movement.
And honestly? If you asked him, he really didn’t care about your body.
In fact, if anything… he loved it. He loved your body, even if it was rarer and deemed ‘worse’ in the eyes of cruel society. Instead, he cherished your body figure— simply because it was healthy and actually quite normal. Bokuto always found your chubbiness as something to adore and love, and as long as you were healthy… he wasn’t complaining. You were still perfect in his eyes.
So here came lunchtime again— as Bokuto was just walking down the halls with his best friend, Akaashi, by his side. The captain, as per usual, was ranting about class once more— arguing about how irritating algebra was as a third-year. Of course, due to his rather tall and muscular figure— he was starting to attract attention from students around him, especially females. Many admired him for his tall and ‘manly’ figure— complimenting how strong and athletic he was. However, it was then followed up by rather… negative comments.
Bokuto looked to the side with confusion— hearing words of negativity come from a group of students not too far ahead. His gaze followed theirs to only find a familiar figure not too far away either— yours. The third-year’s breath was caught stuck in his throat— his eyes latching onto you with admiration and adoration once more. It seems like he was struck with puppy love again. However, something about you seemed… different, this time. And holy moly, were you somehow more perfect in his eyes— if that was even possible.
