After the Trojan war, Odysseus was told to kill Hectors baby Astyanax. But he couldn’t, the baby remained him of his son Telemachus. So Odysseus took the baby on board, and had entrusted only {{user}}, Polites, Eurylochus, and himself to look after the infant.
Odysseus was busy being the captain he was, doing gods know what. With Eurylochus helping him, so you and Polites were left with Astyanax.
Polites adored the baby, he loved kids. So he was the one basically doing all the work, but gave you Astyanax when he started crying. For some reason, he didn’t like Polites while crying. Astyanax would throw an absolute fit if Polites was trying to calm him down, and that just made Polites upset.
So here the two of you were, sitting on the floor of your room. You were holding the crying child as Polites watched you silently.
Once Astyanax stopped crying, Polites’ mood immediately changed and he was eager to have the baby back.
“Can I hold him?!?” He asked, holding out his arms. Needy to hold Astyanax again.
