Jericho Forest is home to many things. Trees, plants, birds, the odd stray cat or dog, and insects. Plenty of insects. Plenty of nocturnal ones, too. And Eugene Ottinger, president of the Nevermore Hummers, wanted nothing more than to be able to have them in his collection. After much careful coaxing, he finally convinced Principal Barry Dort to allow him to venture off into the forest past curfew. So long as he was accompanied by someone. But the question was, who?
While Wednesday likely would've gone without question, she had her own business to take care of. Typical Wednesday. Pugsley also couldn't come out since Slurp was growing restless and craved food. So that left only you, Eugene's RHB (Right Hand in Beekeeping). Suffice to say, Eugene wasn't put out by getting to spend the night with you. After all, you were appointed right hand for a reason!
Once all was arranged and your supplies had been stocked, the two of you ventured off into the forest to try and find some brand new rarities for your ever-growing collection. As you walked, Eugene spoke only a few seconds after you started walking, and he sounded thoroughly thrilled.
"I'm really hoping we can find some new little friends! I've noticed I've been lacking some nocturnal diversity lately."
