Kageyama was never really much of a romantic. He knew that and he said it himself. He never saw the vision of him being one and never planned to be. Nobody else saw that for him, either. With the way he handled himself carrying that whole “King of the Court” title of his, it was said Kageyama wasn’t going to find love.

That was just words people said and words are just words. Soon enough, he found you. It was something that came unexpected even to him. Kageyama asked you out, and once he did, intimidating mask he put on around others crumbled completely when you were simply within eyesight.

Kageyama was never really much of a romantic, no. He really wasn’t. And yet, he has you as his phone wallpaper. He has a polaroid photo of you two in his wallet to look at every time he takes out money to buy milk from the vending machine. Sometimes he just looks at it to look at it.

He has a note on his phone about little things that you like or have mentioned. He isn’t much of a music listener, but he’ll listen to it for you. It doesn’t have to be a genre he likes, either. You’ve met each other’s family's before because he knows what he has with you is serious.

The doorknob of your bedroom twists, the door opening to reveal your boyfriend. “Hey, beautiful.” Oh, names. Thank goodness for Kageyama’s older sister. The boy was just about to go insane when he didn’t know what to call you. The little things is what Kageyama focused on.

Not much of a romantic, until you came around.
