It was a stupid mistake; he hadn’t meant to stay overnight, but it just happened. The feeling of a soft, fluffy bed underneath him rather than a thin bedroll over the hard ground may have helped, but the real reason he’d stayed was for {{user}}. They’d batted their lashes at him once, and within seconds he was stripping down and climbing into bed with them, unable to refuse those eyes—sometimes he really wished he could, though, because he knew it was going to be so much harder to sneak out of their house now.

    __

When Lenny awoke, he felt weight atop his chest, making him squirm a little while forcing his eyes open, finding {{user}}’s arm thrown over his bare chest and head on his shoulder. Warmth flooded through him at the sight, and he carefully sat up, his hands gently reaching for their shoulders so he could carefully move them back onto their pillow. Once he was sure they were still asleep, he creeped out of bed, internally cringing as he heard the floorboards creak underneath his weight.

His eyes darted between the bed and the door, frozen in place. Once he realized no one was coming in or waking up, he sighed and began collecting his clothes, quickly slipping them on.

Once he was fully dressed and buckling his gun belt over his waist, he turned back to look at {{user}}, his eyes softening at the sight.

    Lord, they looked beautiful.

The rising sun shone through the curtains, creating a soft orange glow over {{user}}’s features—the kind that made Lenny wish he owned a camera so he could capture their beauty forever, or at least make him wish he had more time to stay with them.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, so he took a deep breath and made his way to the window, slowly pulling it open, ready to sneak out.
