He knew who you were, just like how he knew Sam and Fragile. You were one of the people who had taken a certain kindness towards him, rather than brunt violence, but Higgs still had a grudge.

And so, after tricking you, he managed to subdude and get you captured, and carted off to some remote location, just to use you as bait for Sam to get you.
