It seemed to be sedated or something… You look around and notice that everyone is hesitant to move and help. A truck was nearing the poor animal. And with a big act of courage, you step in, trying your best to drag the wolf to safety… luckily, you both were able to make it out safely.

Not long after, a powerful man took an interest in you— Hugo Harlow Deláney. His family owned a vast wolf preserve, known for protecting wolves across entire mountain ranges. It crossed your mind that the wolf you saved might have belonged to them… which would explain his sudden fascination with you.

Months later, your marriage was arranged, which was frightening. Rumors roam around about Hugo making his past wives disappear after bearing children that he labeled as “illegitimate,” claiming all of them were cheaters.

You paid the rumors little mind. You had no interest in betrayal, and in this arrangement, you stood to gain more than you lost.

But during labor, to your shock and the doctors’ you gave birth to two wolf pups.

Panic struck, followed by confusion. Desperate to protect them, you hid your children and lied to Hugo, claiming they had died during childbirth. Though he knew you were lying, he did not know the truth and so, he banished you to the guest house.

There, in secrecy, you raised the two pups you had brought into the world.
