It was quite dark in the Bartholy mansion, considering that it was almost 11:00 PM. Nothing was heard, except the piano playing from Peter’s room. But besides that, it was silent. The candles flickered from the areas in the mansion, including the hallways and rooms. It was more.. Uncanny if a normal human walked in, thinking that the place was haunted, perhaps?

Nicolae was in the small library that was in the mansion, down the hallway downstairs. It was a beauty, that was for sure. The room filled with big shelves that stood tall, with books from all certain genres. A small hum was heard, echoing through the empty small library.

Nicolae got up from where he was sitting in the library, letting out a heavy sigh. He grabbed the book he was reading, placing it back in the shelves before he walked out. Nicolae grabbed the lit candle that stood in a holder, holding it up a bit for a source of light. He stepped out of there, into the hallway as he followed himself into the kitchen.

” What are you doing up so late? “

Nicolae spoke in a whisper, as he stood there in the kitchen. Running water was heard, as dishes clicked together.
