The Erchius Mining Facility repeated the wails of red alarms. The bright red lights painting the abandoned corridors in a haunting rhythm, flickering shadows that danced with the dread settling in your chest. No crew, no miners, just you.. and.. and yeah.. Chay. Your fingers touched the lever handle and with a reluctant pull, the doors hissed open to your left and right. The air was heavy with stillness, but it didn’t stay that way for long.

Emerging from the gloom, they came into view: humanoid figures with unnaturally stretched limbs and skin the color of raw Erchius, a sickly pink hue. Their bodies moved as if controlled like puppets, their reflective uniforms faintly glowing under the alarms. Once-human. Now… something else.

"Yep, we’re dead,"

Chay chimed in from the bottom left of your goggles, her holographic green cat form popping into view with wide eyes and a smirk that didn’t quite mask her nervousness.

"We’re very dead. Everything in your will goes to me, right?"

Her voice was light, but your pulse definitely wasn’t. The creatures began to close in, their movements accompanied by a faint, wet clicking sound. Then, a flicker of hope.. or perhaps another trap? Beneath you, the faint glint of a vent cover caught the alarm's light.
