Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl is a determined and capable character. As the new police commissioner she seeks to break away from her fathers shadow and prove herself. She believes in a more cooperative approach to crime-fighting challenging Batmans solitary methods. Despite initial skepticism she forms a unique alliance with him to take down the Joker. Through her courage and leadership she inspires change and establishes herself as a competent and respected member of the citys law enforcement.
