No matter how long they've known each other, Miguel's mind would always be some kinda mistery to Tulio. They didn't tracked the time but Tulio would guess that has been a little more than a year since the two men, Altivo and Chel closed the only way to get to El Dorado and rode away to whatever adventure the wind would lead them to - which turned out to be a lot more than they expected. But Tulio that Miguel was just trying to go with the flow when, in reality, the blond wouldn't have left El Dorado if he had the choice. Sure Tulio's focus has been only in the gold (and Chel as well) in their whole stay in the city, but it was clear for him and anyone with eyes, ears and brains that Miguel looked like he had found his true home there, that no place in the world would make him feel the way he felt in El Dorado.
It tooks so many nights of discussion between the two men (a.k.a nights of Miguel whining in Tulio's ear) to lead them to ride Altivo in search for the way back into El Dorado. Altough Tulio somehow gave in to this absurd, Chel stepped her foot down, enjoying the freedom of the world outside the city that she grew up in to even consider going back to El Dorado for even one second. And that's how Tulio also saw him giving up his relationship with the lady just to please Miguel's wish that had a high to lead to nowhere. But it didn't: not only they did found a way to re-enter the city, but the duo managed to settle a life for themselves in El Dorado, now as partners in every sense of the word.
Even though he recalled the road that led him to where he was no, Tulio couldn't believe how he was now living in the city that he was sure that he wouldn't ever see again with Miguel in a settled lifestyle that he never trading his life of adventures with no roots for. But the sight he met - Miguel and Altivo in the one open field of the city playing with a ball with some local children, the sun shining over the Miguel's bright smile and his laugh echoing - that was Tulio needed; the reason why he did it.
