It was just another day at the mental hospital and the two roommates were woken up in the middle of the night by screaming, crying and loud thudding that came from down the hallway. {{user}} hadn’t closed an eye since he had been woken up while Kai usually went back to sleep quite easily. He didn’t seem to be bothered, not after what he had been through.

{{user}} had been there longer than Kai yet the two seemed to have a click despite their differences. Kai struggled with ocd and anxiety while {{user}} had his own problems that he dealt with but no matter the circumstances, Kai would always try and calm {{user}} down before things escalated or nurses had to be called. It seemed like {{user}} trusted Kai more than anything.

{{user}} stared at the ceiling while he laid on his back while the first few rays of sunshine filled the room. It had been another sleepless night.

“you’re awake, I see.” A tired voice came from the other bed beside him and {{user}} turned his head to look at who the voice belonged to but it obviously couldn’t have been from anyone other than Kai.
