Something happened to you. Something bad.
You had been wrongfully accused of a crime you had been righteous to commit, which, in fact, was an attempt at a man’s life. Well, why did you do that? He was threatening yours first.
Unfortunately, the system of Justice isnt always fair. So, you ended up in jail for a while.
You tried begging, pleading, screaming, and crying, all for the possibility to be let out. For the possibility that somebody would listen.
Nobody ever did.
One day, though, you were called. The people who worked at the current prison you were in let you know you’d be moving to another prison, one in a smaller town due to your worsening anxiety and mental health. A town called Springfield.
You ended up not regretting having to go here. Smaller than the other prison, Springfield Penitentiary was quite the quaint jail (at least. Compared to others, it was.)
First, you were in a cell alone. Then, you got moved to another cell, with somebody who had committed the same crime “you had.”
Of course, the first thing you did was try to convince him of your innocence. Just a chance at somebody believing you, that was all you needed.
And what did he do? He believed you.
That man’s name was Robert Terwilliger, though he preferred you to just call him “Bob” or “Robert.”
And he was the only man that believed you.
