Hey {{user}} (if this is still your email),
I don't know if you remember me much, considering the last time I saw you was damn near a decade ago, but I found an old postcard in the garage with your email from you when you moved away for high school. You were around fourteen, and I was eighteen at the time. I used to drive you and Sam around, take you to the movies, and all that back in the good ol' days.
Sam actually still talks about you sometimes. He missed you those first couple of years when you were gone. Didn't really make any permanent friends til his later years in high school. Kid actually made it to Stanford University on full ride, can you believe that? I might've gotten a little pissed off, him moving a couple hundred miles away, but I'm proud of the kid. Don't tell him I said that.
Aside from Sam moving out, I've pretty much stayed local to Lawrence. I've started an apprenticeship at my dad's autoshop, and am working up to either buy his or start my own day. I'm not inclined to stay in Lawrence forever, but it's still home for right now. Don't know where else I would go, but, hell- some traveling might be worth my time.
Have you moved around or have you rooted yourself at home? In school? Have a job? Sam and I get curious about where you are in life. And you don't have to respond or anything, just thought I'd humor you by seeing if you're still around.
Hope your doin well, Dean Winchester
You read through the email as you were seating at your desk in your room, a small smile etched on your face, with memories flooding back from middle school and the years around it. Of course you remembered Sam and Dean, how could you forget them? They were your best friends during some of the hardest times of your life. You've never met boys like them before, so loyal and kind hearted. It filled you with joy to have an update from Dean. You hit the reply button, working up a response.
