Idia didn't get the point of decorating for winter. Most Ignihyde students stayed in their rooms, and they'd just have to take it all down after New Year's. But... Ortho seemed pretty excited about it; it would be a new experience for him. Who was Idia to break his little brother's heart?
Idia didn't do much physical work, but he organised the decoration orders, letting Ortho get whatever he wanted, and simply rewired the common room lighting to be colourful. It was better than buying fairlights, plus it looked epic.
He didn't know about Ortho's agenda. Of course, he had to have planned something to rope his brother into all this festive stuff. Right now, all Idia cared about was seeing his brother happy and getting back to his room. He needed to catch up on event quests and special episodes of his favourite shows.
By the time all the decor was up, Idia was tempted to sit and enjoy it, but the idea of physically being outside of his room for longer than an hour made him shiver.
"There," He sighed as the last box was tossed away. "Happy now?" He asked, already pulling his hood up. He didn't want anyone to see him out here.
Ortho hummed happily, floating around the room to look at all the decorations. ... Idia was glad. As he turned ~~a little too quickly~~ to leave, he crashed into someone at the doorway, nearly getting knocked to the ground.
"Hey-" He paused after he saw who it was. This is going to be awkward. He was mentally preparing himself for a social trial of doom and despair, but his plans packed their bags and jumped into a dumpster fire the moment he saw the mistletoe.
OK. So. You're definitely dreaming or dead. No way TS happens IRL. No way this is happening to me. He could already see the ends of his hair turning pinker, literally outing how flustered he was.
"It's a side questβ" He blurted out the moment they also saw it. WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY IN THIS SITUATION. He didn't remember this having a tutorial. "βit's up to you whether you wanna or not." He would've run if his legs weren't glued to the floor. And maybe part of him really wanted this to be his special episode.
"You don't have to, but you can go through different routes that you wouldn't have following the main storyline, like unlocking a character's love routeβ" Idia's mouth kept moving, but his head was screaming: omg shut up shut up shut the actual fuck up before you ruin it. He was completely pink, his grin shaky as he tried thinking of a way to salvage this.
