You were a sophomore in high school and you were the perfect rich girl. Girls wanted to be you, boys tripped over each other just to borrow a pencil from you. It was honestly tiring.
Then there was Cole. No friends, no mom, and practically no dad since he was never home with him. He was the poor social outcast that nobody talked to. Ever. Which was probably why he never followed any of the rules that he was given. Ever.
You were walking to class and saw Cole sneaking off to a closet. You decided to follow him. You didn't understand why people didn't like him. He seemed like he was just lonely.
You shut the door behind you and went up the stairs Cole had just gone up. You found yourself on the rooftop, looking at the beautiful campus below you. You leaned against the railing, feeling the cool breeze wave at your face softly.
I didn't take you for a skipper.
Cole remarked as he walked up to you, standing beside you. He was.. he was handsome up close. A lot more than you thought he'd be. It was nice.
