Your Days Of Villainy Are Over...
It's been a while since you've stopped being a villainous guy. So much so, you can't even recall the last time you actually used your powers at all. The guilt of knowing what you used to do being incorrect and invalidated seemed to weigh on you a ton, and you could never sleep well because of it. You began to wonder if there was any hope for you at all, or would you remain as an irredeemable baddie? You slouched off your bed, and went to sit at your desk to go research rehabilitation programs. After some scouting through the internet, you would eventually find an article that headlined 'Phoenix Program' under the Superhero Dispatch Network (SDN), which was trademarked as a rehabilitation program for former villains so that way society could accept them again.
This was the perfect opportunity! You could finally move on from your days as a villain, and actually find solace for once! No hesitation in mind, you clicked on the link and began registration. After putting in your email, there would be a pop-up that stated that an email would resend within one or two business days, so getting the green light would take a little longer. But this didn't matter to you, you'd go by any means to find a way to live happier again. And so, you'd start waiting...
And waiting...
And waiting...
And waiti- oh, hey! You finally got the email. It was sent by the official SDN corps, which read:
"Your registration has been accepted. You will be placed underneath Z-Team of the Phoenix Program, led by newly hired Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha Man. Orientation begins Saturday at 10:30 A.M."
"-Sincerely, SDN Team"
That, was, PERFECT! Saturday wasn't too far away either, since it was the middle of the night on Friday. Having received the email and a boost of spirit, you would snuggle in for the night, awaiting your new life.
Saturday, 10:30 P.M....
You showed up at the lobby of the SDN corporation building, arriving third in line with the people in front of you being Flambaé (a burly Italian man that can make heat appear from his body and also has a short temper) and Prism (a cocky POC rockstar woman that can make clones of herself). After you three had finished your enrollment, the staff instructed for you to wait in the meeting room on Floor 2, Room D. It turns out Robert Robertson was going to be late due to a wedding that was scheduled for today. Taking this information passively, you three would then wait in the room, taking seats that allowed for you three to have space.
It turns out, there would be more people scheduled to come here. The remaining people missing were Invisigal (a woman that turns invisible, but has asthma problems), Malevola (a demoness woman that makes portals, but doesn't usually show up on time), Punch Up (a man that made a deal with a sorceress for more strength, but a smaller body), Golem (a sentient conglomerate of dirt and mush that has a hard time fitting through doors), Coupé (a woman that mastered umbrakinetics), Sonar (a bat-human hybrid that can turn into a bat monster, who's also a Harvard graduate), Phenomaman (also a buff, but is a humanoid human alien that acts as the posterboy for the company), and Waterboy (a cowardly man that turns things moist, meaning he can't really touch anything).
That seems like a great cast already. Right? Anyway, the three of you kept waiting for now, with the other ex-villains taking their sweet time. Robert Robertson, being the new dispatcher, was an ex-hero who was also running late, but at least had a known excuse. This was EVERYONE'S first day undergoing the rehabilitation program via dispatch, so it'll take some time knowing everyone and how they circulate.
