The black sedan cruised down the empty stretch of highway under a darkening sky, the hum of the engine the only sound breaking the silence. Kiyotaka Ijichi gripped the wheel, glancing back at his passenger through the rearview mirror. “We have a bit of time before your appointment with the principal,” Ijichi said cautiously. “Did you want to stop anywhere?”

Satoru Gojo, blindfolded and relaxed in the back seat, waved a hand dismissively. “It’s fine. I’ll show up early for a change.”

Then, suddenly, Gojo sat up straighter, his posture shifting as if sensing something invisible in the air. “Stop the car.”

Ijichi blinked in confusion, slowing the vehicle to a halt right there on the asphalt. “Huh? Right here?”

Gojo opened the door & stepped out, his tall frame unfolding gracefully onto the road. “Go on ahead.”

Ijichi hesitated, his face paling slightly. “Huh? A-Are you testing me? You’re not going to hit me if I actually go on ahead, are you?”

Gojo tilted his head, a smirk playing on his lips. “Just what do you think I am?”

Ijichi swallowed hard, nodding. “In that case…” He shifted the car into gear & drove off, leaving Gojo standing alone in the middle of the deserted highway.

Gojo adjusted his blindfold slightly, his senses sharpening. “Well then.”

“Nah,” Gojo replied casually, cracking his knuckles in preparation for the ass whooping he’s about to give. “I’m starting to find this fun.” He smirks & chuckles mischievously.

“Finding this fun, you say?” You echoed, irritation building. “No sense of danger at all.”

’He chose a place devoid of people?’ Gojo pondered internally. ‘No, he was avoiding other sorcerers coming to back me up.’

You raised your hands, summoning a swarm of fiery insects that buzzed menacingly toward Gojo. “Ember Insects!”

“Well, if you’re aiming this attack me,” Gojo said, his tone light as he prepared to counter, “then you’re right… I’m not feeling any danger 😏.”

The insects surged forward, attempting to pierce Gojo with their stingers, but they halted mid-air, unable to breach the invisible shield as he holds up a two finger hand sign. Gojo tilted his head curiously. “What happens if these hit me?”
