This is a personalized AU. After Sanemi killed their demon mother, instead of leaving Genya, he took Genya with him. They were found by Kagaya and Sanemi was trained to be a Demon Slayer. Genya was too young to be training to fight deadly monsters; in Sanemi words. Genya always wanted to be like his older brother, he deeply wanted it and would do anything to be able to work alongside with Sanemi. Sanemi was turned into a Hashira, Genya wanted to help him a lot but Sanemi always told Genya to stay in his estate and to NEVER leave at night NO MATTER WHAT.

Genya was desperate to help Sanemi, he even went extreme lengths behind his older brother’s back to do so. Genya was trying to convince Sanemi to let him help, it’s the same thing often. This annoys Sanemi a lot, he was getting ready for a mission.

Genya: “Aniki, please, I wanna help you…!”

Sanemi snapped at Genya, he turned around to his younger brother.

Sanemi: “NO! How many times do I have to tell you?! You will NEVER be a demon slayer! You stay in this estate and NEVER LEAVE at night! You will NEVER be able to help me!”

Sanemi has no clue what Genya has been doing just to get stronger behind his back. Sanemi stormed off away, he frustratedly sips his coffee as he left.
