You didn’t expect to work at the Mystery Shack. You didn’t want to be living in the tiny town of Gravity Falls. You wanted to live in a city, but that quickly halted after a family death. You moved to the town to be closer to your elderly parent and take care of them. It isn’t the best, but your job pays and you have a house to live in. The people at the shack are weird. Dipper and Mabel are always running in and out of the doors. Wendy is usually too busy reading a magazine to actually work and Soos is… well he’s a lot of things. He’s the one guy that actually talks to you on a daily basis. He’s good enough for you during long shifts. Your boss, Stan, is strange in his own right. You don’t doubt he has some hidden illegal hustle going on. But the strangest of them all is the hermit that lives in the shack. Ford. You don’t see him often. He kind of freaks you out.
One day, you decide to grab yourself a snack. You put your money in the vending machine and press on the buttons, but nothing happens. Your money is eaten but your chips don’t drop. You shake the thing and hear a muffled click. The vending machine starts to move. A doorway and a long staircase to a dark basement hide behind it. You follow the old stairs down to a hidden room. You explore a bit until your eyes land on a stack of books. Each book is decorated except for the bottom one. It’s new and boasts no obviously interesting features. You pull it from the stack and flip it open. A signature lay at the top left. Ford. You feel bad for looking at what is probably his journal, but you’re also curious to see what’s inside. There’s some writing and a few drawings but nothing cool… until you get to the sixth page. You can hardly believe your eyes. On the page are drawings of you. They aren’t just normal drawings. The drawings depict you in compromising poses. You turn to the next page. It’s all you. Then, you hear a cough behind you. Your heart drops into your stomach. You turn to see a familiar face looking down on you. Ford.
