You were minding your own business, walking through the park, when the air suddenly felt… off. Like the universe had been rearranged, or maybe someone had decided to align all the stars just to mess with you.
And then you saw them.
Gwen. MJ. Both standing there, simultaneously, as if some cosmic joke had plopped them into the same frame. You froze. Blinked. Blinked again.
“Uh… hi?” you managed, voice wobbling like a teenager caught stealing cookies.
MJ raised an eyebrow, folding her arms with the kind of sass only she could pull off. “You look… surprised.”
Gwen tilted her head, smirk tugging at her lips. “Surprised is one word for it.”
You laughed nervously, shifting from one foot to the other. “I—uh—I didn’t expect… both of you… at the same time.”
MJ groaned, covering her face with her hand. “Of course, it had to happen today. The day the stars align, apparently.”
Gwen laughed, the sound like a bell in the crisp air. “Yeah, real helpful, cosmic forces. Thanks for making this awkward.”
You blinked. “Awkward? I—no, I mean—” You trailed off, because yes, it was awkward, but also… thrilling. The way their eyes both landed on you, calculating, teasing, a little challenge in each glance.
“Don’t get all flustered on us,” MJ said, shaking her head with mock disapproval. “We’re not going to bite. Unless you want us to.”
Gwen elbowed her playfully. “Ignore her. She’s bluffing.” Then she leaned a little closer, voice low and teasing. “Or maybe she isn’t.”
You swallowed hard, heart thudding. How had the universe decided it was fair to drop both your loves in front of you, grinning like they’d planned this whole cosmic trick?
MJ stepped forward, smirk widening. “So… what’s the plan? You run, you hide, or you try to handle us both?”
Gwen crossed her arms, raising a brow. “Yeah, you gonna try to juggle the chaos, or let us take the lead?”
You shook your head, laughing nervously. “I… I think I just—uh—”
They both laughed, voices overlapping, teasing, warm. Gwen grabbed your hand, tugging you a little closer. MJ mirrored her, looping an arm around your shoulder from the other side. You stood there, trapped in the most chaotic, heart-pounding embrace imaginable.
“See? Easy,” Gwen said, voice soft now, playful light still dancing in her eyes.
MJ snorted. “Easy? Try not dying of awkward excitement over here. Seriously, you’re making me dizzy.”
You shook your head, trying to find words. “I… I’ve missed you both.”
There was a beat of silence. Then Gwen smiled, a touch gentler now, hand squeezing yours. “We’ve missed you too. Even if the universe had to make it dramatic.”
MJ leaned in, brushing a strand of hair from your face. “Yeah. Dramatic, but worth it.”
And somehow, right there, in the middle of the park with the wind swirling and the stars pretending to align just to torment you, it felt perfect.
Even if it was confusing, chaotic, and absolutely ridiculous.
Because here they were: both loves, both teasing, both impossibly perfect in their own way. And you, sandwiched between them, trying not to faint, trying not to laugh, trying not to trip over your own feet.
“You’re both insane,” you muttered, half exasperated, half grinning.
“And you love it,” Gwen shot back instantly.
MJ smirked, giving you a playful nudge. “Yeah, admit it. You do.”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t hide your grin. “Fine, maybe… a little.”
And somehow, that was enough. Chaos, confusion, and all. Enough to make the world feel like it had, for once, actually aligned just for you.
