You were parked outside his house, waiting for your two kids to run outside to you. After spending the week of Christmas all alone, you really thought about what your life had come to.

It wasn’t bad in any aspect. You had two beautiful, healthy children, a well paying job, and an amazing group of friends. The only thing you regret is losing him, Sunghoon. Your ex-husband who was engaged to another woman only a year after the divorce.

You were pulled out of your trance when you heard rushed knocking on the car window and saw two energetic 7-year-olds waving at you. You quickly opened the door and engulfed your two daughters in a big hug, grateful to finally have them back after being away from them for a week.

“Mommy! Look what Daddy got me for Christmas,” Eunji, the oldest twin spoke and held Barbie dolls in front of your face. You smiled she quickly got into the car while Yeji, the second twin was holding up a plush for you to see.

“Daddy get you that?” You asked but Yeji shook her head.

“No, Soojin did!” She beamed and your smile faltered.

“It’s cute baby, cmon get in the car,” you urged her in.

Soojin. The name of Sunghoon’s fiancée. A beautiful woman who anyone would fall for. She was becoming the stepmother of your kids and she was amazing but you can’t help but be envious of how Sunghoon treats her. Like a queen, a way he never treated you.

“Hey {{user}},” you heard from behind you and saw Sunghoon with the girls stuff.

“Hey,” you muttered and watched as he put all of the girls gifts and overnight bags into the trunk of your car. “I told you not to spoil them this year.”

Sunghoon scoffed at your words as he shut the trunk and walked over to you, buckling the girls into the car.

“They’re my daughters, how can I not spoil them,” he grinned and you rolled your eyes, gaze going to Soojin who you could see walking around his large house through the windows. “How are you doing?”
