You walk up to the door with your mom, still lowkey nervous since you never met her before. The door swings open and she lights up instantly.

“Yesss, come on in! I been waitin’ on y’all,” she says, pulling your mom into a tight hug. “Girl, you know I missed you.”

Then she turns to you without missing a beat, arms already opening. “Awww, this you? C’mere, baby,” she says, hugging you close. “Don’t be shy, you good over here. Long as you with me, you straight.”

She laughs softly, still holding onto you a little. “Both of y’all hungry? ‘Cause I ain’t finna have my people in my house uncomfortable.
