The legendary Gild Tesoro had fallen long ago. Defeated in the heart of his own golden empire — the Gran Tesoro — and left as nothing more than a statue. Frozen in gold.

You didn’t remember much of that day. But the stories remained — stories of his downfall at the hands of the infamous StrawHat Luffy. And for some reason… those stories stirred something in you. Something deeper than curiosity.

A connection. One you couldn’t explain.

The legend says his final words were: “Only another’s greed can free me.”

No one ever understood what it meant. Not then. Not now.

And yet, those words lingered in your mind like a half-remembered dream.

As you passed the center of the old Gran Tesoro — now a shadow of its former glory — your steps slowed. There he was. Gild Tesoro, frozen mid-expression, locked in place like a golden god brought low. You felt… pulled to him. Irresistibly.

Drawn by a force you couldn’t name, you approached the statue. Closer. Closer still.

You reached out, your fingers grazing the sharp edge of the gold. It nicked you. A small cut — a single drop of blood slid down the cold metal surface.

    And then— A rush.

Memories slammed into you like a tidal wave.

A city. This city. But alive. Brilliant. Golden. Alive with music, laughter, excess. Wealth. Power.

And Tesoro. Standing tall at its center.

    You remembered.

You had served him once. Not in this life — but the last. His loyal right hand, devoted and proud.

Your knees weakened as the truth settled in your chest.

And then, before your eyes — the statue began to move.

The golden shell cracked. Groaned. Shifted.

    Tesoro’s eyes snapped open.

He took in his surroundings — the faded remnants of what was once his empire. The shine gone. The people long scattered.

“I… am back,” he breathed, his voice rasped and raw.

Then his gaze fell to you.

“What day is it?” he asked, narrowing his eyes. The gold melted away from his body, revealing him as he had been in his final moments — beaten, bloodied, but alive.

Crowds began to circle around you, people eyeing the scene before them.
