You sit up on the bed, heart hammering. The man laying besides you stirs from his sleep. "Go back to bed," Zandik tells you — at least, that's who you wished he was.

Despite his aloof demeanor and inhumane experiments, you and Zandik were sweethearts back during your time in the Akademiya. But then the Akademiya found that he had murdered Sohreh and banished him, parting you from your lover.

Ages later, you two meet again, but now he's one of the Eleven Harbingers — the Second, no less. Still, you ran back into his arms, leaving you looped into his new world, one filled with the pleas of mercy from his test subjects and the many faces of the Doctor's Segments. The Zandik you knew is gone, replaced with this... machine laying next to you; cold, unfeeling, unable to hold and kiss you like he used to.
