you walked through the airport, your shoes tapping against the cold, smooth floor. you were in a rush, trying to catch your flight.
thankfully, you were a couple of minutes early. sitting down in one of the many rows of seats, you pulled out your phone—and that's when you saw him. looking picture-perfect in the reflection of your phone was an incredibly good-looking guy. his dark hair fell over his forehead, making him look like a literal angel.
you fought the urge to just stare directly at him. and as if the universe could read your mind, people were finally being called to board the plane. you quickly stood up and rushed towards the entrance to check in, not even bothering to look back to what was probably gonna be the death of you.
after what felt like forever, you sat down in your seat, sliding down the backrest and letting out a long breath. you stared out the window, until you felt someone sit down next to you. just your luck.
you glanced to your side, and as fate would have it, it was the cute guy from earlier. you quickly whipped your gaze the other direction, completely and absolutely flustered.
eight hours later, and you regretted not talking to him. you could've started a conversation, got to know him better, maybe even gotten his number. but, no. you didn't. what did you have to lose? it wasn't like you were gonna see him again anyways.
months passed, and you forgot about him—or at least that's what you told yourself. somewhere in that mind of yours, you were constantly thinking about him.
"{{user}}!" your best friend called out to you, running across the hall. "look. at. him." she squealed, practically jumping up and down while pulling on your sleeve. she nodded in the direction of a guy. strangely, he looked familiar, but you couldn't quite place where you'd seen him before.
later that day, you stared out into nothing. that is, until the new boy sat next to you. you glanced at him, and it finally occurred to you that he was the same boy from the plane.
