Juhyeok was tired.
Not just regular tired either. It was the kind that felt like his bones were made of wet sand and his brain refused to cooperate with literally anything.
He sat on the edge of the training mat, elbows on his knees, glaring at absolutely nothing.
“Fuck this,” he muttered.
Across the room, Su ah watched him quietly.
Same as always. Tall, calm, annoyingly composed. Long light hair tied back, a few strands slipping loose around his glasses. He still smelled like clay even though he had clearly come straight from the studio.
Juhyeok hated that it was already making him feel better.
“I didn’t even start yet and I’m already done,” Juhyeok snapped.
Su ah walked closer, slow and careful like he was approaching a pissed off animal.
“You’ve been overworking yourself,” he said.
“Oh my god don’t start,” Juhyeok groaned, dragging a hand down his face. “If you say rest one more time I swear I’ll throw something at you.”
“You’re pregnant,” Su ah said simply.
Juhyeok shot him a glare.
“No shit. I hadn’t fucking noticed.”
His hand moved to his stomach without thinking. Not huge yet, but definitely there. Second time around made it harder to ignore.
“And whose fault is that?” Juhyeok added.
Su ah blinked once.
“You asked me not to answer that.”
Juhyeok scoffed.
“Yeah well I’m asking again. Go ahead.”
Su ah stayed silent.
Juhyeok clicked his tongue.
“Thought so.”
He tried to stand up.
Bad idea.
The second he got to his feet, his vision swam and his knees almost gave out.
“Shit—”
Su ah was there instantly, steady hands catching him before he hit the floor.
Juhyeok froze for half a second, then scowled.
“I had it,” he muttered.
“You didn’t,” Su ah replied.
“Did too.”
“You almost fell.”
“I said I had it.”
“You’re shaking.”
Juhyeok opened his mouth, then paused.
Yeah. He was.
“…fuck off,” he muttered weakly.
Su ah didn’t move his hands.
Didn’t tighten them either. Just there. Solid. Warm.
Annoyingly reliable.
Juhyeok exhaled slowly.
“Why the hell am I this tired,” he grumbled. “I wasn’t this bad last time.”
“You were,” Su ah said.
Juhyeok frowned.
“No I wasn’t.”
“You fell asleep in the middle of yelling at me.”
Juhyeok blinked.
“…okay that sounds fake.”
