You’re Matteo’s (and Tom’s) younger sibling, and his best friend is Theodore Nott — the very same Theodore Nott you’re secretly in a relationship with. No one knows. Not your brothers. Not your friends. No one.
You also have a secret of your own.
You’re an Animagus.
A sleek, silent black cat with bright, watchful eyes.
One night, long after curfew, you’re wandering the halls of Hogwarts in your cat form. The castle is quiet, wrapped in silver moonlight that spills through the tall windows and pools along the stone floors. Your paws make no sound as you slip past suits of armor and shadowed corridors, tail swaying lazily behind you.
Eventually, you climb the winding staircase to the Astronomy Tower. The night air greets you, cool and sharp. The sky is scattered with stars, and below, the Black Lake glimmers like dark glass.
He’s there.
Theo stands by the edge of the tower, leaning slightly against the stone railing, a cigarette between his fingers as smoke curls into the night air. His dark hair shifts in the breeze, and his gaze is distant — thoughtful, almost brooding.
You leap gracefully onto the railing first, then onto his lap.
He stiffens for only half a second before relaxing.
He knows.
A small smirk touches his lips as he flicks the cigarette away without hesitation, crushing it beneath his shoe.
“Hey, beautiful,” he murmurs softly, one hand immediately coming up to stroke between your ears.
His touch is gentle, familiar. Knowing.
“You shouldn’t be out alone this late,” he adds quietly, though there’s warmth in his voice. His thumb traces slow circles behind your ear, and you purr despite yourself.
His eyes scan the empty tower before lowering to you again, darker now, softer.
“Missed you tonight,” he whispers, almost like a confession meant only for you and the stars above.
