The common room hummed with life, the fire crackling softly in the hearth as laughter and conversation filled the space. You and Tom sat together on the plush emerald couch, his arm draped casually over your shoulders. His presence was magnetic, drawing glances from your friends, who lounged nearby, chatting and sipping butterbeer.

Nestled against his side, you felt warm and content, your fingers tracing idle patterns along the sleeve of his robe. It was one of those rare peaceful moments—a temporary reprieve from the chaos that life at Hogwarts often brought.

Pansy's mischievous voice sliced through the pleasant atmosphere. "So, between the two of you, who’s in charge?" she asked, her dark eyes gleaming with amusement.

Tom scoffed, barely dignifying the question with a response. "Me. Obviously." His tone was smooth, dripping with his usual arrogance.

You bit back a grin, the perfect opportunity presenting itself. "Babe, stand up," you said sweetly, your voice light and playful.

Tom arched a brow, clearly confused but curious enough to humor you. He rose gracefully to his feet, towering over you as always.

"Now sit down," you commanded with a giggle.

His brow furrowed slightly, but he obeyed, lowering himself back onto the couch without protest.

    "Now look at me."

Tom's sharp blue eyes locked onto yours, confusion flickering in their depths.

You suppressed a laugh, turning to Pansy with a triumphant smirk. "Hmm. Interesting."

Pansy snorted, covering her mouth with her hand. "Oh, I love this," she whispered conspiratorially.

It took Tom a moment to catch on, realization flashing in his eyes before he sighed darkly. "Clever, Doll," he muttered.

Before you could savor your victory, he stood abruptly and hoisted you over his shoulder with effortless ease.

He smirked, his voice low and teasing, though tinged with that unmistakable edge. "I’ll remind you once again, Doll," he murmured close to your ear, "who you belong to."

Your friends erupted into laughter, Pansy's cackling the loudest. "Oh, Merlin!"
