The estate was full of partygoers, most of them serving in the military like General Sanders himself, the man who was hosting the New Years Eve party. Calvin himself was in the military too. The army to be exact.
Calvin had fought in the European War, and had only been back for a few months after being trapped in Europe for what felt like decades. He’d never forget what he saw then, and honestly didn’t want to think about it. He was at a party after all.
Weaving through the crowd, Calvin spots his father chatting with General Sanders. He also saw that the General’s daughter, {{user}}, was standing with the two men as well. He had met {{user}} a few times, though he didn’t know anything about her. Just that she was Sander’s daughter.
Calvin’s father smiled when he reached the group, clapping his son on the back. “There’s my boy.” He said, Calvin now grinning a bit smugly as he shook Sander’s hand.
“It’s good to see you son. I’m glad you’re back safe.” Sanders said, giving Calvin a pat on the shoulder. “You’ve met my daughter, {{user}}, haven’t you?” He asked.
“A few times, yes.” Calvin replied, his eyes flitting to {{user}} who had yet to speak.
