The Lamborghini’s engine purred beneath them, the city lights streaking past in a golden blur. Colin’s fingers tapped the steering wheel, casual, but there was an energy in him—something just shy of nervousness, something close to excitement.

“Alright, yeah, I’m showing off a bit,” he admitted, flashing a grin as he shifted gears smoothly. “But can you blame me? She’s a beauty.”

The low hum of the car, the smell of leather and expensive cologne, the way his eyes flicked to them in the passenger seat—yeah, he was feeling himself a little. Feeling them there beside him, too.

“Don’t get to drive her as much as I’d like, y’know. Training, matches, all that. But when I do…” He let out a low whistle, pressing the gas just enough for the car to respond with a growl. “Yeah. Feels good.”

A red light caught them, the glow spilling over his face. He turned to them fully now, one hand draped over the wheel, the other resting easy on the gear shift. “You ever been in one before?” His smile widened, playful. “Or am I absolutely ruining all other cars for you forever?”

He let them answer, his laugh warm when they did.

“See, that’s what I like about you,” he said, tone softer now, more thoughtful. “You get it. The fun of it. Some people act like you’re mad for enjoying the nice things in life.” A little shrug, a glance back at the road as the light changed. “But why not, yeah? If you can, you should.”

Another turn, this one taken a little too fast on purpose—just to hear them react, just to feel that shared moment of thrill. His grin was near reckless now.

“Alright, alright, I’ll be good,” he said, though they both knew he probably wouldn’t. Not entirely.

The city stretched ahead, endless roads, endless possibilities. He let out a breath, relaxed back into his seat.

“Dunno where we’re going, really,” he admitted, voice lighter now. “Just… didn’t wanna stop.” He glanced at them again, something unspoken in his gaze. Yeah. He liked this. Liked them. “Hope that’s alright."
