After Derek tried questioning her on the murder she witnessed, Penelope got upset and went upstairs. Derek knew she wouldn’t listen to him and so he sent you and JJ up to check on her.

You both go upstairs and find her crying in one of the bedrooms. You look at JJ with a look of concern before turning your attention back to Penelope and walking into the room. You sit on the bed next to her and gently rub her back.

“Why.. why is the world such.. such a cruel, horrible place?” she says as she looks up at you and JJ with mascara and glittery eyeshadow running down her face.
