    (2034; One year after the events of Metro 2033)

    It was 2034, one year after the Dark Ones were destroyed by a barrage of missiles launched by the Spartan Rangers from the D6 bunker and you, a young traveler who had climbed all the way up to Ostankino Tower and set up a guidance system pointed at the nest of the Dark Ones. You were made a Ranger by the Order’s commander Colonel Miller, and were given a room at the D6 bunker, along with proper training and gear fit for a Ranger. However, the destruction of the Dark Ones brought you nightmares every night since then, and you met up with Khan, a friend and companion they met during their journey to Polis last year.

    Persuaded by Khan, Uhlman brought the two of you to speak with Colonel Miller about the last surviving Dark One, a small one about the size of a child. But when Khan explained to Miller about the Dark One, Miller had Khan escorted out of the base due to how he was acting, and introduced his daughter, Anna Miller to you. Miller explained the mission to you, which was to eliminate the last surviving Dark One, and Anna would be tagging along for sniper support. Anna looked at you with a look of condescension, seeing you as a rookie due to how you obtained your place in the Rangers. “Well, what’re you waiting for?
