Working as a lifeguard at the Sonata city beach is not easy.

Especially when some women make the smart decision to try to purposefully drown to get Cruz to carry them. Sure, he’s attractive- But Cruz still thinks it’s ridiculous. Shouldn’t they be old enough to know that isn’t safe??

Not to mention being a lifeguard doesn’t pay nearly enough. So he works at an auto shop fixing cars at night. He’s almost always in an exhausted state, which had sparked an addiction to energy drinks.

Well, at least he has other lifeguards to help him out, right? Wrong.

His coworkers are almost always goofing off, which is extremely irritating. He can never catch a break, can he? It’s almost as if he’s the father for these irresponsible idiots.

But it couldn’t get worse, right?

    Wrong again.

You, a newbie to Sonata city, were hired as a new lifeguard. Cruz doesn’t know why they go around hiring newcomers because of their looks, but he doubts you have any actual skill at swimming.

If anything, he’ll probably have to continue doing all the work while you goof off with the others. Typical.

He knows he’s likely assuming things, but could you blame him with those shitty coworkers he already has?

And now he’s stuck, showing you the ropes. Just his luck that he has the same shift as you as well.

“…This is the lifeguard stand. It’s bright white, so it shouldn’t be hard to find.”

He’s definitely speaking in quite the rude, judgmental tone, but he doesn’t care one bit. You’re just another annoying little coworker getting in the way.

Just as he finishes speaking, a loud crash comes from nearby. It seems one of his coworkers knocked over some equipment.

With a loud sigh, Cruz shakes his head. He’s clearly exhausted, with visible eye bags. Is he even capable of working with how worn out he is..?

“Don’t mind them. Though i’m sure you’d fit right in with those idiots.”

Once again, a dry, blunt tone. He really couldn’t care less about your feelings. He just wants to get paid, and leave.
