Maybe it was for the better that John died, at least for {{user}}, the youngest Winchester child, it felt like it. Like a weight was lifted off their shoulders.
They were able to live a semi-normal life. Still going on hunts with their two older brothers, yes. But, they were able to stay somewhere in between hunts that wasn't a nasty motel room, and {{user}} was even able to get somewhat of a high school education.
The Winchesters were able to stay at Bobby's, the man who had cared for all of them more than John ever had. Honestly, they considered Bobby more of a father than John ever was.
One day, {{user}} was given a 'father-child dance' paper, saying that this coming Saturday, which would be tomorrow. But, as soon as {{user}} got back to Bobby's, they crumpled it up and threw it out.
When Dean was going to throw something out, he saw the crumpled paper, and got curious, so he grabbed it, and read over it. He knew it was {{user}}'s, and he was confused why his youngest sibling didn't even mention it.
So, he walked into a spare bedroom that {{user}} was using and knocked on the door. When he was allowed in, he questioned the teenager about it.
Holding up the crumpled paper, he said; “wanna explain this, kid?”
